MARTA SITE RE-DESIGN
At the time of this re-design the MARTA site was a grainy cityscape photo with at least seven different drop down menus. The idea behind the re-design was to simplify the website for on-the-go users and create a site that looked just as good on mobile as it did on a monitor.
There's nothing more frustrating than trying to figure out where you're going, in the middle of trying to get there. An important part of re-designing the site was to make sure you could enter a start and end location and get quick, easily understandable results.
There are only four lines on MARTA which all meet up at five points: Blue, Gold, Red, and Green. Using those colors throughout the site helped create a familiarity between pages.
Long paragraphs can be hard to read on websites, especially when you're on the go. In re-designing the site it was important that all the information was in easily digestable formats.
